BRM Welcomes 103 Professionals to June Industry Events
BRM has this month welcomed more than 100 delegates to a series of industry-leading expert events across South Yorkshire.
Led by BRM’s Head of Employment Amy Hallam, our employment team held two HR Forums whilst our Real Estate team, led by Director and Head of Real Estate for Sheffield James Alger, hosted a Real Estate breakfast seminar.
Attended by industry professionals from across the region, the in-depth sessions provided expert leading knowledge around several legal considerations across the sectors.
We’ve summarised the key takeaways from each event:
HR Forum jointly hosted with EMC’s Ian Bates – Disciplining Employees & Employee Fraud
Amy Hallam shared thoughts on what changes to look out for later in 2024, in addition to an overview of legislation changes that have already taken place.
Employment Associate Solicitor Ellie Leatherday guided attendees through a fair disciplinary process and provided an overview of ACAS Code of Practice on Disciplinary.
A section on employee civil fraud was also delivered by BRM Commercial Litigation Director Simon Lockley. Simon shared details on what assets may need protection from employee civil fraud – and how to best protect your business.
The HR Forum was wrapped up with a mock disciplinary hearing presented by BRM’s Ellie Leatherday, Holly Wardle, Jade Taylor and Phoebe Weaver.
HR Forum jointly hosted with Hays – Employment Law Update, Sexual Harassment & Employee Fraud
