Paul Berresford Highlights The Value of Apprenticeships at BRM
To mark this year’s National Apprenticeship Week (5-11 February 2024) we spoke to BRM’s Executive Director Paul Berresford who started his legal career as an apprentice aged just 17. Paul also highlights how much we value apprentices here at the firm.
Paul Berresford, Executive Director at BRM, said: “At BRM, we pride ourselves in nurturing talent which is why we are so passionate about welcoming apprentices to our teams across the firm.
“Apprenticeships are a unique way to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on practical experience within the workplace.
“From our specialist legal departments to our operational teams, our apprentices form part of our workforce right across the firm both at our Sheffield and Chesterfield offices.
“Not only do our apprentices gain real life experience whilst working with us, we’re delighted that many of them have become full-time BRM employees.
“Apprentices have formed key roles within our firm, and we’re delighted to embrace the growth and development opportunities that come with apprenticeships.
“We hugely value our apprentices and we’re proud to be a part of their legal career journey.”
Paul started his legal career as an apprentice when he was 17 so has first-hand experience of the process and the benefits of starting out through an apprenticeship.
Paul added: “I can speak from personal experience that an apprenticeship gives you unmatched work experience and exposure within the workplace. I fully support and encourage anyone to apply for a legal apprenticeship.”
