With over 30 years’ experience as a solicitor, Giles spent the first decade of his career at a top 10 law firm in the City of London, before returning north and enjoying spells in the Sheffield offices of two large international firms, followed by 6 years as a partner at another regional practice, before joining BRM in 2020.
Giles acts for a wide range of regional and national clients with a particular focus on the manufacturing and technology sectors. He specialises in high value commercial disputes, contentious intellectual property and also advises with regard to international trade issues.
Giles is also the Deputy Chair of the Board of Governors of Sheffield Hallam University.
Outside of work, Giles is a keen runner and a committee member of Clowne Road Runners. He also enjoys theatre and served on the Board of Trustees of Sheffield Theatres for 7 years.
